Delete Your Account

You can delete your BlueSkil account at any time, from inside the app or by contacting us. Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately — there is no waiting period and no way to undo it or recover the account afterwards.

Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect straight away:

1. Open the BlueSkil app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile, then Account Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm when prompted. Your account and data are removed immediately.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, or you would rather we handle it, email us from the address on your BlueSkil account and tell us you want your account deleted:

We will verify that you own the account before deleting anything, then confirm by email once it is done. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your sign-in credentials, so you can no longer log in
• Your seeker or employer profile, photos, and portfolio video
• Your job applications, saved jobs, interviews, and offers
• Ratings, endorsements, referrals, connections, and profile views involving you
• Notifications, search history, saved searches, and analytics tied to your account
• Any verification documents you uploaded
• The AI embeddings generated from your profile for job matching
• Your uploaded files, including videos, in our storage

What we keep, and why

A small amount of data is not deleted outright, because removing it would either break our legal obligations or destroy other people's records. In every case your identity is removed from it first:

• Payment and billing history is kept for tax and accounting obligations, with your account identifier stripped out so it is no longer linked to you.
• Messages, engagements, and video comments you exchanged with other people stay in the other person's history, with your identity replaced by an anonymous placeholder so they are not left with broken conversations.

If you own a company

Deleting your account also closes any company you own and cancels its subscription, so you are not billed again. Its job postings are removed. If your company has other members, transfer ownership to someone else before deleting your account if you want the company to continue.

How long it takes

Deletion from the app happens immediately and cannot be reversed — we do not keep a copy you can restore from, and support cannot bring the account back. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days of us verifying that the account is yours. Backups taken before deletion are overwritten on their normal rotation.

Download your data first

If you want a copy of your information, request a data export before you delete your account — you will not be able to retrieve it afterwards. You can request an export from Profile, then Account Settings, then Request Data Export.
